Short version

LocalPDF Toolkit does not collect, transmit, or share any user data. All document processing happens locally inside your browser. Your files never leave your device.

1. What we do NOT collect

The extension never collects or processes:

Personal information (name, email, address, phone)
The content or metadata of your documents
Browsing history or activity data
Location data or device identifiers
Authentication or financial information

本扩展永不收集：个人信息、文档内容或元数据、浏览记录、位置或设备标识、认证或财务信息。

2. Local storage

The extension uses chrome.storage.local to save your preferences only:

Your selected interface language (or browser-detected language)
Your recently-used tools list

This data is stored only on your device, is never transmitted, and can be removed at any time by uninstalling the extension or resetting the settings.

扩展仅使用 chrome.storage.local 保存界面语言偏好和最近使用工具列表，数据只存在本地设备，卸载即清除，绝不上传。

3. Permissions

storage — saving the language preference and recent-tools list described above.
activeTab & scripting — used only when you actively invoke the "Web to PDF" tool: the extension reads the current page's visible content to generate a PDF locally. No background execution, no other tabs, no page modification.

权限说明：storage 仅存偏好；activeTab/scripting 仅在用户主动使用“网页转 PDF”时读取当前页内容，无后台行为。

4. Document processing

All conversions, merges, splits, watermarks, signatures, compression and encryption are performed by a PDF engine bundled inside the extension, running in your browser. Documents are never uploaded, and no copy of them is created outside your device.

所有合并、拆分、转换、水印、签名、压缩、加密等操作均由扩展内置的 PDF 引擎在浏览器内完成，文档永不上传。
